Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Hailee Avenue
SOUTH HILL, WA (January 25, 2019) – A man was killed Friday evening following a pedestrian collision on East 57th Avenue. The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened in the Moran Prairie neighborhood, at about 7:00 PM. A pedestrian was attempting to cross near South Hailee Lane when he was struck by an eastbound SUV.
The victim suffered critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical staff. Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
