32-Year-Old Man Killed in Tragic 4-Vehicle Wreck on Interstate 15 [North County, CA]

1 Dead in North County Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 15 and Gopher Canyon Road

NORTH COUNTY, CA (May 9, 2023) – Sunday morning, a 32-year-old man died in a tragic 4-vehicle wreck on Interstate 15.

The incident happened just after 2:00 a.m. on Interstate 15, south of Gopher Canyon Road.

According to reports, a 32-year-old man drove a Dodge Challenger. Then, for unknown reasons, he stopped in the roadway.

Afterward, a 47-year-old man driving an Infinity G37 crashed into the Dodge. Also, the crash involved a 39-year-old motorist who was driving behind the Infinity in an Acura, and a 61-year-old who was driving a Honda to the right of the Infinity were also involved in the crash.

As a result, the Infinity driver and its two passengers were transported to a hospital with major, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Moreover, the authorities believed that alcohol and or drugs may have played a role in the crash.

Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to call the CHP at 760-643-3400.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
