Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (March 11, 2019) – A Colorado man lost his life Sunday morning following a pedestrian accident on Beach Boulevard near Warner Avenue.
The incident befell around 3:15 a.m. when the 19-year-old man from Greeley, Colo., began crossing near the intersection, yet outside of a marked crosswalk.
The unidentified teen died from serious traumatic injuries. The 26-year-old man from Riverside operating the 2013 Kia Optima that struck him stayed at the scene.
Per reports, he had a steady green light as he headed northbound before he struck the pedestrian.
Following the accident, the driver stayed on site to talk to authorities. The Huntington Beach Police Accident team is asking witnesses to call 714-536-5666 if they have information.
