Driver Dead in Multi-Car Collision in Riverside
RIVERSIDE, CA (March 7, 2019) – A four-car accident on Alessandro Boulevard near Via Vista Drive Wednesday resulted in the death of a 65-year-old Yucaipa man.
Around 10:55 a.m., dispatchers responded to reports of a major-injury collision.
Authorities determined that a white Nissan Titan, driven by a 33-year-old Riverside driver, careened out of control and crossed into the northbound lanes.
On Alessandro Boulevard, the Nissan Titan struck a blue Ford Ranger, a gray Infiniti SUV and a U-Haul truck towing a flatbed trailer.
Per a news release, the 35-year-old Riverside resident operating the Infiniti, as well as the Nissan driver, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 65-year-old Yucaipa man operating the Ford Ranger suffered grave injuries and died moments later.
Because details are limited, investigators are looking into the factors that played a role.
