Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 24, 2020) — A man died Wednesday night following a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard near the 805 Freeway.
According to Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department, officers received a call about the hit-and-run around 7:30 p.m. The crash betided in the 5500 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard where a vehicle struck the man in the No. 2 lane before fleeing the scene.
It appears two other vehicles struck the victim and left the scene.
When officers learned about the accident, they arrived to investigate, yet only to find the 44-year-old victim dead on arrival.
