44-Year-Old Man Killed in Highway 165 Pedestrian Accident [Merced County, CA]

Merced County, CA (October 13, 2023) – A 44-year-old Stevinson man was fatally injured following a Highway 165 pedestrian accident Wednesday.

It fatal traffic accident happened at about 11:30 p.m. north of Highway 140.

The California Highway Patrol said the man was walking across the southbound lane of the freeway when he was struck by an oncoming car.

He sustained major injuries and died at the accident scene.

Moreover, the driver involved in the accident was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation
