MODOC COUNTY, CA (June 22, 2021) – Sunday morning, a man died and another suffered injuries in a plane crash in Likely.
 
According to reports, the sheriff’s deputies responded to a ranch in Likely just after 9:00 a.m. Moreover, the incident happened about 18 miles south of Alturas.
 
Some witnesses revealed that as the small plane tried to take off from a field, it didn’t gain altitude.
 
As a result, the passenger of the plane succumbed to injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, responders airlifted the pilot to Mercy Medical with major injuries.
 
The Modoc County Sheriff’s Office and the National Transportation Safety Board joined forces to investigate the cause of the fatal crash.
