Person Hospitalized After Pedestrian Accident on Azusa Avenue
West Covina, CA (October 26, 2020) – On Sunday, a man underwent surgery at a trauma center after being injured in a pedestrian accident on Azusa Avenue.
The accident happened at about 7:30 p.m. at Amar Road when he was struck by an SUV.
“It appears he stepped into traffic,” West Covina police Lt. J. Munn. said about the injured pedestrian.
Meanwhile, the SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The authorities continue to investigate the incident.
Furthermore, practice safe driving habits on the road at all times. Even when it is empty, even when there is no police officer around to make sure you make a full and complete stop.
Scan the road 1/2 mile to a full mile ahead in order to look out or recognize potential hazards in time. Our bodies weren’t designed to travel at 50mph. We were designed for speeds of less than 10mph. Thus, you need to learn to consciously break that natural instinct and focus farther ahead.
