Pedestrian Hit, Injured by Car in Eureka
EUREKA, CA (March 12, 2019) – Paramedics brought a man to a nearby hospital Sunday night following a pedestrian accident on V Street near 6th Street.
According to news reports, the incident happened around 8:45 p.m.
Police believe a white Subaru Outback traveling north on V Street struck the 40-year-old pedestrian in the crosswalk. Shortly after, paramedics brought the victim to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries while the driver of the Outback remained at the scene.
Due to the limited amount of information, Eureka police officers are investigating the events and circumstances. According to witnesses, poor lighting conditions may have hindered the driver’s vision.
