Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident Ends in Injuries in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 25, 2019)—A man suffered serious injuries in Thursday’s hit-and-run pedestrian accident on West Olympic Boulevard near South Grand View Street.
A surveillance video footage showed a man crossing the street around 11 p.m. before a vehicle struck him, causing him severe injuries.
Shortly after, detectives received a tip and located a white sedan several miles away from the crash site. The car was parked in front of the home on South Saint Andrews place; however, detectives did not locate the driver there.
Paramedics took the unidentified pedestrian to a hospital for treatment. However, it is still unclear what drove the accident.
You can apply safe driving practices to avoid causing a pedestrian accident. Never drive under the influence; slow down at intersections, crosswalks, school zones and neighborhoods; conform to severe road and weather conditions; and make eye contact with people crossing the street. These are common tips to keep in mind when driving.
