Multi-Vehicle Pile-up in San Diego Ends in Injuries
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 4, 2020) — A man suffered major injuries in a 3-car crash at South 43rd Street and the 805 Freeway Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, the multi-vehicle crash took place around 2:20 p.m. A driver who, authorities say, took her eyes off the road looked up to find that her vehicle was approaching stopped traffic ahead.
The woman in the Toyota Camry swerved in an effort to avoid an imminent collision but collided with a pickup truck, which then struck a third vehicle.
The man in the pickup truck suffered major injuries in the crash. Paramedics brought him to UCSD Hospital for medical treatment.
The woman in the Camry, however, declined medical transportation to a hospital and three others involved escaped injury.
