1 Person Hurt in Oakland Auto Accident on Girvin Drive
OAKLAND, CA (August 10, 2021) – Sunday night, a man sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Girvin Drive.
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 6:00 p.m. Moreover, it occurred in the 6600 block of Girvin Drive, a residential area in the Piedmont Pines neighborhood.
Reports revealed that the incident started when a Chevrolet Bolt almost collided with another vehicle. The drivers of the two vehicles got out of the vehicle and started a heated argument. Then, the Bolt driver fled the scene and drove to the intersection of Girvin and Aitken drives, and stopped.
Furthermore, minutes later, the Bolt driver drove back to the scene three times. Then, the driver attempted to strike the man and a woman outside their vehicle before hitting the man on its third attempt.
Moreover, officials confirmed that the 29-year-old male victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical aid.
The incident remains under investigation.
