Pedestrian Hit, Injured by Car in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (February 3, 2020) — A man sustained life-threatening injuries in Wednesday’s pedestrian accident near East Pima Street and North Columbus Boulevard.
The incident drew Tucson Police Department investigators to the scene just after 6:20 p.m.
According to Officer Francisco Magos, a spokesperson with the department, the driver stayed, and officers began investigating what had happened.
However, where the accident exactly transpired remains ambiguous but reports say that it occurred near Midtown. The circumstances that led to the accident are unclear, as well.
Anyone with insight into this crash should contact local authorities.
In areas known for pedestrian activity, namely bustling downtowns, school zones and neighborhoods, drivers must travel with caution. Be prepared to yield to anyone who might be crossing. Pedestrians should also navigate the streets with vigilance and never assume a driver sees them.
