Person Airlifted to Hospital After Tractor-Trailer Crash on US Highway 395

 
Victorville, CA (November 12, 2020) – On Wednesday, a man was airlifted to a hospital after a tractor-trailer crash on US Highway 395.
 
The crash happened at about 3:10 p.m. at the intersection with Bear Valley Road.
 
Upon arrival at the scene, Victorville City Fire found a male driver inside a white Honda Civic trapped inside the vehicle.
 
Firefighters used the jaws of life to free him. Also, they requested a helicopter to respond.
 
Samantha Thompson was stopped in the left turn lane waiting to turn onto Bear Valley Rd from US Highway 395 when she witnessed the crash.
 
According to her, the white Honda Civic was traveling westbound on Bear Valley Road when it entered the intersection after a green light and it t-boned by a big rig.
 
“I just can’t believe the big rig did not even honk his horn or anything, no brake screeching nothing,” she stated.
 
The helicopter Reached Highway 325 and landed west of the crash on Bear Valley Road and subsequently airlifted the male to a trauma center.
 
No update on the victim’s information was available.
 
Meanwhile, the tractor-trailer driver stopped and spoke with authorities at the scene.
 
Further, officers from the Victorville Police Department are handling the investigation and the official cause of the accident.
