Man Killed by Own Truck in Hesperia
HESPERIA, CA (May 21, 2019) – A 28-year-old Hesperia man died under unknown circumstances after a neighbor found him underneath his truck along 8th Avenue and Mauna Loa Street Saturday night.
According to reports, a neighbor driving home found the victim in the 10500 block of 8th Avenue around 11:30 p.m.
The engine was reportedly still running when the neighbor found him. Soon after, the witness contacted law enforcement and medical personnel.
Arriving deputies found the unresponsive man trapped underneath the driver’s side wheel of his 2000 Dodge Ram truck. Soon after, the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded and pronounced him dead.
The circumstances of this crash remain unclear, but a follow-up investigation is underway.
