Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Train in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (December 31, 2019) — A man died Sunday night after a train hit him at West McKinley and North West avenues.
According to reports, the train conductor saw the man on the tracks and attempted to warn him; however, the man failed to respond. Because the train did not stop, it struck the unidentified pedestrian, causing him fatal injuries.
The nameless victim is described as a man in his 70s who lived nearby. However, police did not release any information regarding his name or identity at this time.
There is no information available concerning why the man had been meandering the area at the time. However, authorities plan to continue the investigation.
