Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Driver in Grover Beach

 
GROVER BEACH, CA (January 23, 2020) — A man died in a pedestrian crash on North Oak Park Boulevard near Brighton Avenue Tuesday night.
 
According to Grover Beach Police, the pedestrian was crossing near an unmarked intersection around 7 p.m. when the incident occurred.
 
Along the 300 block of North Oak Park Boulevard, first responders arrived and found a man who’d been hit by an SUV. Immediately, paramedics and officers tried rendering aid to save the man’s life; however, he died shortly after.
 
In the wake of the crash, police interviewed the driver, who, officers say, did not appear to be under the influence.
 
Since details remain scant, authorities plan to investigate this crash further to determine what had transpired moments before.
