Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in San Jose
SAN JOSE, CA (December 13, 2019)—A man lost his life on Thursday in a pedestrian accident on Bollinger Road near Wunderlich Drive.
According to San Jose police Officer Gina Tepoorten, the incident happened just before 6:00 p.m.
In the investigation, authorities learned that an adult male was crossing Bollinger Road when a green 2016 Subaru heading westbound struck him. Officials also determined that the man had not been using a crosswalk at the time.
Soon after, paramedics rushed him to a hospital where he died a short time later.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office plans to release his name once the next of kin has been notified.
Back at the scene, the adult female driver of the Subaru cooperated with police questioning. Police subsequently confirmed that alcohol and drugs did not play a role in the crash.
