Driver Perishes in Solo-Car Accident in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 30, 2019) – A driver died Sunday night when his SUV drove off the 805 Freeway near Highway 94 and crashed.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 58-year-old male driver lost control of his 2012 Ford Explorer for unexplained reasons. As he took the transition ramp from 805 South Freeway to Highway 94 East, his SUV left the roadway.
Subsequently, his car struck several trees before coming to a rest on an embankment. Unfortunately, the 7:55 p.m. crash caused the man fatal injuries.
Investigators were left perplexed as to why the driver lost control of the wheel. However, an investigation surrounding this is underway.
