Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Car in Valley Center
VALLEY CENTER, CA (April 18, 2019) – A 33-year-old pedestrian perished Tuesday night when a vehicle struck him on Valley Center Road near Woods Valley Road.
According to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Curtis Martin, the man died around 10 p.m. when a southbound Toyota Corolla driver struck him on Valley Center Road.
Following the accident, the woman remained at the scene and spoke to officers.
Investigators believe the woman was not impaired at the time of the accident. However, authorities say the man had been carrying a beer at the time the vehicle hit him.
Yet, it is unclear at this point whether impairment truly played a role on the pedestrian’s part. More investigation on this case is underway.
