Driver Dies After Vehicle Plunges off Malibu Cliffside

 
MALIBU, CA (April 9, 2019) – A Diamond Bar man died Sunday night when his vehicle crashed off Pacific Coast Highway near Deer Creek Road.
 
According to authorities, the 7:35 p.m. accident happened just north of Deer Creek Road. The 29-year-old Diamond Bar man was operating a 2008 FJ Cruiser. As he traveled north, his vehicle veered through the southbound lanes and plunged off an embankment, dropping to the surf below.
 
Authorities have yet to release the name of the fatal victim.
 
As far as details go, investigators have learned that he was the sole occupant of the vehicle but an investigation regarding the ultimate cause is underway.
