It appears that a 39-year-old man driving a silver Pontiac Grand AM died after he’d been struck from behind.
Per officers, a Chevy 2500 HD pickup truck rear-ended the Pontiac, which was stopped in the left lane for unknown reasons. It is unclear at this point why the 23-year-old woman driving the pickup truck failed to stop.
As a result of the impact, the Pontiac traveled to the oncoming lane. The unidentified male driver of the Pontiac died at the scene while the woman sought treatment at Natividad Medical Center with unknown injuries.
