Passenger Killed in DUI Rollover Crash on North Pioneer Way in Yakima
YAKIMA, WA (June 13, 2019) – A man died in a rollover crash Saturday on North Pioneer Way near Mahoney Road.
The incident occurred around 4 a.m., according to a sheriff’s office news release.
An 18-year-old male driver lost control of the car, causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times.
Following the accident, the driver was taken to a nearby hospital with broken bones. However, his 23-year-old male passenger, still secured in a seatbelt, died at the scene.
Authorities determined that alcohol played a factor in the accident.
