1 Killed and 1 Injured in Fallbrook Auto Accident on Interstate 15 near Stewart Canyon Road
FALLBROOK, CA (September 14, 2021) – Sunday morning, a man died in a solo crash on Interstate 15 near Stewart Canyon Road.
According to NCFPD PIO John Choi, the incident happened at around 1:20 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Interstate 15 near Stewart Canyon Road.
Reports revealed that a Nissan Sedan struck a metal guardrail for unknown reasons.
Furthermore, responders from Mercy Air 5 transported the 56-year-old male driver and a 28-year-old male passenger to Palomar Medical Center. Then, the driver died at the hospital. Meanwhile, the passenger sustained major injuries, including a foot amputation.
Moreover, the incident closed all southbound lanes of Mission road to give way to responders. All lanes have long since reopened.
