Pedestrian Killed in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Accident on Highway 119 and East Kern Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 29, 2023) – Friday night, a man died in a pedestrian crash on Highway 119 and East Kern Street.
The incident happened at around 8:35 p.m. on Highway 119 at East Kern Street.
According to the Taft Police Department, a vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the roadway while pushing a shopping cart. Then, the vehicle fled the scene after the crash.
Moreover, paramedics pronounced the 53-year-old man, dead at the scene.
Furthermore, authorities said that the suspect vehicle is best described as dark-colored, possibly black, and may have major front-end damage.
