Man Hurt in Victorville Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway
VICTORVILLE, CA (June 3, 2019) – A man sustained injuries following a pedestrian crash in Victorville on Saturday morning, June 1.
According to the Victorville Fire Department, the pedestrian collision occurred on the southbound 15 Freeway, just south of the Nisqualli Road off-ramp.
The authorities stated that the semi-truck crashed into an adult male who was on the freeway for unknown reasons.
A Mercy Air helicopter transported the victim to a trauma center for treatment of unknown injuries. The driver of the semi was not hurt. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The identity of the deceased or an update on his condition was not immediately available as of Saturday afternoon.
Officers shut down the freeway during the on-scene clearance and investigation. It reopened just after 10:15 a.m.
The cause and circumstances that led to the pedestrian crash is still under investigation by the authorities.
