Male Pedestrian Killed in McLaughlin Avenue Crash [San Jose, CA]

Man Dies in Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Crash on McLaughlin Avenue in San Jose

San Jose, CA (November 9, 2021) – On Friday, an older man who a motorist struck on McLaughlin Avenue and Tully Road died from his injuries.

The fatal crash in San Jose happened at around 7:50 p.m. on October 30.

Police said the driver of a 2007 Honda sedan was heading northbound on McLaughlin when he struck the victim. The man was crossing McLaughlin outside of the crosswalk.

EMS took the pedestrian to the hospital in severe condition and succumbed to his injuries on November 5.

The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

Moreover, investigators said drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the collision.
