One Critically Injured in Two-Car Collision in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, CA (December 22, 2018) – Saturday morning, one person was critically injured in an accident involving two vehicles on Highway 18.
Officials reported that a gray 2002 Mitsubishi and white Acura RLX were involved in the collision at 11:20 AM east of Tao Road on Highway 18, both vehicles sustained major damages.
Firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District were dispatched to extricate the driver of the Mitsubishi. One victim was transported by a helicopter to Loma Linda University Medical Center due to their critical injuries, while the other victim was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The identity of the drivers or their current medical conditions have not been released.
There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time as investigations continue.
