Maha Hakim Dies in Arcadia Pedestrian Collision on Duarte Road

Maha Hakim Fatally Struck by Motorist on West Duarte Road Near Sunset Boulevard

 
ARCADIA, CA (December 3, 2018) – A 52-year-old Arcadia resident perished in a pedestrian collision that happened Friday afternoon on West Duarte Road near Sunset Boulevard.
 
The 3:30 p.m. crash happened in the 1100 block of Duarte Road just west of Sunset Boulevard, Arcadia Police Department Lt. Mike Castro reported.
 
Maha Hakim was the 52-year-old woman who was trying to cross the busy roadway and was hit by an oncoming car. Hakim was brought to Huntington Memorial hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with investigators. There are no details regarding how the incident happened, but an ongoing investigation continues. Anyone with information is urged to call the Arcadia police at 626-574-5151.
