Man and Woman Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident Near Slauson Avenue
Montebello, CA (April 07, 2024) On Saturday morning, 21-year-old Luke Garcia and a woman died in a horrific solo-car crash on the southbound Santa Ana (5) Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the single-vehicle accident happened at about 7 a.m. at the Slauson Avenue off-ramp of the southbound 5 Freeway.
Reports say that officers found a tan sedan stopped on the right shoulder at the off-ramp. Officials say that a man and a woman were found dead at the scene, the man was later identified as Garcia.
Officials are investigating the horrific accident, and say that there may be evidence that another vehicle was involved.
CHP says that the Slauson Avenue on-ramp to the southbound freeway has been closed due to the fatal accident.
