Louis Perez and Cesar Perez Dead, Pablo Trujillo Charged in DUI Rollover Accident on Parthenia Street Near Lurline Avenue
WINNETKA, CA (November 18, 2019)—Two teen brothers died Sunday morning following a DUI rollover collision on Parthenia Street near Lurline Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles police, the accident happened around 12:55 a.m. The driver identified as 20-year-old Pablo Roman Trujillo lost control of a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck as he drove westbound on Parthenia Street.
The pickup truck subsequently veered toward the eastbound side and collided with a white van. Due to the impact, the truck overturned and struck two parked vehicles. As a result, Trujillo and his two passengers became trapped inside.
Unfortunately the passengers, 16-year-old Luis E. Perez and 19-year-old Cesar A. Perez, died in the crash. Investigators learned that the two deceased are brothers and friends of the driver. In addition, authorities say the driver was impaired at the time.
Paramedics transported Trujillo to a hospital for minor injuries before police arrested him on murder charges.
Inferring from evidence at the scene, the van sustained side damage after being pushed through a metal fence and into a nearby home’ s yard. However, police did not indicate whether anyone else sustained injuries.
Families have created a GoFundMe page for the brothers to increase awareness and raise funds for their memorials.
