Man Dies in Los Angeles Pedestrian Collision
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 20, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday evening at the intersection of Fairmount Street and North Evergreen Avenue.
The crash happened around 5:10 p.m. when the victim, who police believe was a transient, was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection. The driver was traveling southbound on Evergreen Avenue when he struck the pedestrian.
Per reports, the victim was seriously injured and brought to County USC Medical Center where he died.
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. It was not clear whether the 60-year-old male driver was injured.
