Pedestrian Dies in Los Angles Collision
LOS ANGELES, CA (December 5, 2018) – A 40-year-old man crossing Exposition Boulevard near Vermont Avenue was fatally struck by an LA metro train Thursday night.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the man was hit by the train while walking toward downtown Los Angeles. The victim was crossing outside of a crosswalk toward the platform when he was struck by the train around 5:38 p.m.
Crews from the Los Angeles Police Department and the Metro arrived and cordoned off the 1000 block of Vermont Avenue due to investigations. The train operator was hospitalized following the crash.
Authorities are looking into this collision to determine the circumstances.
