Corning, CA (June 19, 2020) – On Tuesday morning, Lori Patrick and Anthony Herrera were injured in a crash at the intersection of Edith Avenue and Gallagher Avenue.
Lori Patrick was driving southbound of Edith Avenue on a GMC Jimmy. Then, she collided with an Acura MDX driven by Anna Flores.
The right front of the GMC struck the left front of the MDX causing major damage to both vehicles.
The impact made both of the vehicles off the road and ejected Patrick from her vehicle.
Moreover, rescuers rushed Patrick to Enloe Medical Center in Chico due to major injuries. While her front seat passenger, Anthony Herrera, was taken to a local hospital.
Reports said Flores was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
In addition, a 1-year-old female child in the Acura was secured in a child safety seat and did not suffer an injuries.
The crash is under investigation. Though, authorities said it does not appear alcohol or drugs to be a factor in the accident.
Making sure that the vehicle is in good condition before driving it, and maintaining the right speed contributes a lot in avoiding accidents.
