Student Suffers Minor Injury in Lodi Pedestrian Accident
LODI, CA (January 25, 2019) – A student was struck and injured by a hit-and-run motorist on Scarborough Drive at West Century Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.
The incident took place near Beckman Elementary School. According to Lodi Police Officer Brannon Haro, the student was walking eastbound on West Century Boulevard across Scarborough Drive to meet his mother at the Century Assembly parking lot when he was hit.
The vehicle was reportedly driving southbound across Scarborough Drive and passed in front of the student who was in the crosswalk.
The student reportedly got clipped under the wheel and suffered minor injuries. Fortunately, there were no broken bones or serious injuries.
Authorities are investigating this as a hit and run and are asking the public’s help if they have any information.
