Linda Head on Scooter Dies in Collision at B Street Northwest and 30th Street Northwest
AUBURN, WA (January 16, 2019) – A woman riding a mobility scooter was killed after colliding with a UPS truck Wednesday morning at B Street Northwest and 30th Street Northwest.
The incident happened around 11 a.m., according to Valley Regional fire officials. News reports say the woman fell out of her chair after colliding with the UPS truck and was run over by the truck subsequently after. She was heading southbound on the sidewalk at the time and tried braking before the crash but collided with the truck and was run over by the rear wheels
She was pronounced dead at the scene and investigators are still looking at what led up to the collision.
The King County medical examiner’s office has identified the fatal victim as 55-year-old Linda Head, who died from multiple blunt-force trauma.
