Unidentified Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Linda
LINDA, CA (February 22, 2019) – Thursday morning, an unidentified woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Lowe Avenue and Hammonton Smartsville Road.
Medics and state troopers in the area received multiple dispatch calls around 7:35 a.m. According to California Highway Patrol, the involved vehicle was stopped at a stop sign on Hammonton Smartsville Road before the driver attempted a left turn. However, the vehicle struck the female pedestrian as she was approaching Lowe Avenue.
Upon arrival, paramedics transported the woman to the Rideout Emergency Room with major injuries. As a result, the extent of her injuries soon became fatal and she was later pronounced dead. The passengers and driver of the vehicle were not injured and were cooperative with authorities.
The aftermath and circumstances of this crash are under investigation. No further details have been disclosed to the public at this time.
