Lien Trang Fatally Struck by Driver on Linda Vista Road in San Diego

Lien Trang Dies in Pedestrian Collision on Linda Vista Road Near Comstock Street

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 4, 2018) – A 74-year-old woman lost her life on Nov. 17 after being hit by a driver in the 6900 block of Linda Vista Road near Comstock Street.
 
The incident happened around 5:20 p.m. on a Saturday. Lien Trang was reportedly walking in a crosswalk against a red light and was struck by an oncoming vehicle, per the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
It appeared that she had just exited a bus at a nearby bus station before crossing the street.
 
Trang was brought to Sharp Memorial Hospital after suffering major injuries such as skull fractures and bleeding in her brain; however, hours later, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. More on this crash is under investigation.
