Lee Smith Dead, Everett Riggs Uninjured in Motorcycle Collision Near 133rd Street Court East
BUCKLEY, WA (March 7, 2019) – A motorcycle accident on Highway 165 near 133rd Street Court East Monday afternoon claimed a 59-year-old man’s life.
According to reports, a northbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by Lee Duane Smith, crossed the center line after Smith lost control for unknown reasons. Subsequently, the motorcycle collided with a southbound pickup truck.
Smith died in the collision, leading police to believe he might have been speeding seconds before.
The driver of the pickup truck – 42-year-old Everett E. Riggs of Buckley – escaped injury.
Because details are limited, officials are investigating this crash further to determine the cause and circumstances.
