Lee Hampton and Gregory Lisewych Hospitalized in Vehicle Crash in Moses Lake
Moses Lake, WA (August 7, 2020) – On Tuesday, 72-year-old Lee Hampton from Ephrata and Gregory Lisewych from Wenatchee were injured in a car crash on State Route 17.
The tragic accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. near Randolph Road NE, south of the Grant County Airport.
State Patrol Trooper John Bryant said Hampton was traveling southbound in a 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada when she crossed the center line for an unidentified reason. As a result, her vehicle collided with a 2018 Toyota RAV4 driven Lisewych.
“Unfortunately, Ms. Hampton was not wearing her seat belt, which kind of exacerbated whatever injuries she had.” explained Bryant, “Both she and Mr. Lisewych were taken to Samaritan Hospital. Ms. Hampton was airlifted to Sacred Heart (Medical Center) … with serious injuries.”
Meanwhile, the authorities blocked the roadway for about 4 hours.
Aim high in steering, i.e. don’t make your steering adjustments based on what is directly in front of you, but rather what is down the road. If the road is winding to the right, for example, look as far into the turn as possible. This will improve your safety and make your turns smoother.
