Lawrence Keithly Killed in Llano Two-Car Crash on Highway 138

Lawrence Keithly Dies in Collision With Car on Highway 138 Near 163rd Street East

 
LLANO, CA (February 5, 2019) – Sunday’s two-vehicle crash on Highway 138 near 163rd Street East left a family without their 54-year-old father.
 
Lawrence Keithly was identified as the San Diego County man who died in the two-car accident around 6:45 p.m.
 
News reports say Keithly was operating a PT Cruiser westbound when he veered onto the shoulder for unknown reasons and attempted an unsafe correction to the left yet crossed into the eastbound lanes. There, his vehicle collided head-on with an eastbound Honda CRV.
 
Keithly was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver and passenger of the Honda suffered minor injuries, California Highway Patrol officers confirmed.
 
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
 
The loved ones have created a GoFundMe page to help garner funds for Keithly’s memorial service.
