Speeding Leads to Head-On Collision on Highway 247 in Landers
LANDERS, CA (May 16, 2019) – At least one person was airlifted following a head-on collision Thursday afternoon in Landers.
The collision happened around 4:42 p.m. on Highway 247 at Joshua Tree Road.
According the California Highway Patrol, a gray SUV and a blue 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck collided head-on. One of the cars was reportedly speeding prior to the crash.
An air ambulance was requested to transport at least one patient to a hospital. The extent of injuries sustained and the condition of the victim were not immediately known.
An ongoing investigation continues to determine the other factors involved and liability.
