Moreno Valley Man Lance Jones Killed, Miguel Guzman Arrested in Huntington Beach DUI Accident
Huntington Beach, CA (August 24, 2020) – On Sunday, 25-year-old Lance Jones died, while the 21-year-old Miguel Guzman of Riverside was arrested in a single DUI crash on Springdale Street and McFadden Avenue.
Huntington Beach Police said authorities were dispatched to the scene at around 12:50 a.m. to investigate reports of a hit-and-run crash.
Upon arrival, they learned that the incident was a single-vehicle crash. Firefighters rescued two men from the crash.
The passenger of the vehicle, Mr. Jones, sustained critical injuries and died at UC Irvine Medical Center.
Meanwhile, Guzman, the driver suffered minor injuries and was released from the hospital. Authorities arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
