1 Dead in Long Beach Hit-and-Run Accident on 10th Street and Long Beach Boulevard
LONG BEACH, CA (July 4, 2021) – Saturday morning, a 40-year-old Lakewood woman died in a fiery crash on 10th Street and Long Beach Boulevard.
At about 10:45 a.m., a 51-year-old Los Angeles man drove a 1994 Buick Le Sabre and crashed.
Afterward, he sped away and hit a parked 2008 Honda Accord near 10th Street and Long Beach Boulevard. Then, he hit a street sign, a commercial gas line and a tree.
Eventually, the vehicle caught fire.
According to the police, the man didn’t have a valid driver’s license and has no insurance.
At this time, the authorities haven’t determined whether drugs and/or alcohol played a role in the crash.
Moreover, the identities of the driver and the deceased passenger weren’t disclosed at this time.
The police said that after receiving treatment from the Long Beach Fire Department paramedics, the female passenger succumbed to her injuries.
