17-Year-Old Kirsten Tomlinson Killed in a Hit-And-Run at Mesa Rock Road

 
Escondido, CA. (June 7, 2020) -17-year-old Kirsten Tomlinson died in a hit-and-run early Saturday morning in Escondido. Authorities later arrested Paul Lissona in connection to the crime.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred on Mesa Rock Road near Mesa Ranch Drive at about 12:30 a.m.
 
Tomlinson was initially standing outside a parked vehicle having a conversation with four friends.
 
She with her two friends then crossed the road from east to west. As they did, either a white Toyota speeding northbound hit her.
 
The teen’s friends and neighbors assisted the Kirsten, however she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
 
The California Highway Patrol later revealed Paul Lissona was driving a Toyota Highlander northbound on Mesa Rock Road at a high rate speed when he hit the teen girl who was crossing the road.
 
Police arrested Lissona and charged him for felony hit-and-run.
