Kevin Bash Arrested, Woman Killed in Fiery DUI Collision on 55 Freeway Near Mesa Drive
COSTA MESA, CA (November 20, 2018) – A woman was killed in a fiery DUI crash late Sunday on the 55 Freeway near Mesa Drive.
Around 11:16 p.m., a woman was operating a 2004 Toyota Corolla on the northbound 55 Freeway, just north of Mesa Drive, when her vehicle was rear-ended by a 2005 Dodge Dakota traveling in the same direction.
The impact of both vehicles caused the Toyota to catch on fire. The unidentified driver of the Toyota was killed and 26-year-old Kevin Michael Bash, of Whittier, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked into Orange County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
