Kenneth Scott Dead, Pardeep Dulay Involved in 5 Freeway Pedestrian Crash Near Adobe Road
RED BLUFF, CA (December 31, 2018) – A 59-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed by a big rig driver early Friday on the southbound 5 Freeway lanes near Adobe Road.
The crash happened around 3:10 a.m. when Kenneth Victor Scott was hit by a southbound big rig driven by 29-year-old Pardeep Singh Dulay, of West Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol, drivers reported seeing a man standing and walking along the freeway lanes around 3:05 a.m., along with reports of two near crashes regarding the pedestrian.
Scott was said to be wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash. Details regarding why he was on the freeway were unavailable.
The collision remains under investigation by authorities.
