Homeless Man Dies when the Stolen Car He was Driving Overturns on 210 Freeway at Baseline Road
CLAREMONT, CA (April 22, 2019) – A man was killed following a rollover crash early Monday morning in Claremont.
The fatal crash happened around 1:24 a.m. on westbound 210 Freeway, just West of Baseline Road.
Witnesses told officials that a 2015 Hyundai Azera was traveling recklessly when it flipped onto the right shoulder multiple times and landed on its roof.
The driver, identified as Kenneth Moore, 29, who was homeless, was pronounced dead at the scene. It was unclear how Moore commandeered the vehicle.
Officials later learned that the vehicle was reported stolen.
The westbound 210 Freeway was shut down during the investigation.
