48-Year-Old Kenneth Ledbetter and Another Killed in Vehicle Crash on Interstate 80

 
Sacramento, CA (December 15, 2020) – On Sunday, 48-year-old Kenneth Ledbetter of Suisun City and an 11-year-old boy of Vallejo, both died in a vehicle crash on Interstate 80.
 
The fatal crash happened shortly after 10 a.m. near the West Capitol Avenue exit in West Sacramento.
 
CHP Officer Rodney Fitzhugh said the child was a passenger in an Infiniti that struck a tree as it entered a slight curve in the road.
 
“Due to the Infiniti’s high rate of speed, the driver was unable to safely negotiate the curve, causing the Infiniti to travel off the left edge of the roadway and collide with a tree,” Fitzhugh said.
 
“The impact with the tree caused the Infiniti to break apart and resulted in fatal injuries to both the driver and right-front passenger,” Fitzhugh added.
 
Yolo County coroner’s officials did not publicly identify the boy.
