Kenneth Boyd Struck and Killed While Riding His Bike in Napa County
Napa County, CA (October 25, 2020) – On Saturday, 65-year-old Kenneth Boyd of America Canyon was struck and killed while riding his bike on Highway 29.
The fatal Napa bicycle crash took place at about 8:52 A.M.
Boyd was riding his bike northbound on Highway 29 heading toward the North Kelly Road connection. At the same time, 21-year-old Sara Crowell of Davis was driving her Jeep northbound on North Kelly Road.
She was approaching northbound Highway 29 when Boyd crossed over the connector road directly in front of her.
As a result, Crowell struck Boyd, who was thrown from his bike. He sustained major injuries.
Immediately, the rescuers took Boyd to Queen of the Valley Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The California Highway Patrol said neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor in the crash. Crowell did not get injured from the incident.
